It took me nearly a month since I purchased this book to actually crack it open and start reading it. I don't know why it took me so long. I was extremely excited to read the last book in The Infernal Devices series. But, at the same time, knowing it was the last book, I think I didn't really want it to end. So, maybe if I put off reading it the end wouldn't come so quickly.
However, once I started reading it, I couldn't think about anything else. I just wanted to know what happened next. I read when I could, between work, kids, meals, husband, and whatever else had to be done, over about 3 days.

Finally Starting "Clockwork Princess"
After nearly four weeks of patiently waiting, sitting there staring at me day-in and day-out since March 19th, I've finally opened "Clockwork Princess" by Cassandra Clare.
Below is the book description on the inside of book cover.

I was just blown away by this description! I can't hardly wait to finish this post so I can start on this book, but I must tell you what else I found on the cover. When I took the cover off the book, I found a Shadowhunter family tree on the other side of the cover! I was like O.M.G. Unfortunately, it kind of ruined the book for me and pretty much told me how the relationships were going to work out (although most of them I already had figured out). So I won't show a picture of it...just yet.
If the cover and description of this book intrigues you, I urge you to read Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince of The Infernal Devices. To be honest, I prefer this series to The Mortal Instruments. It's set in 1870's London. How could you NOT love it!
It's time to go now.
Happy Reading!

THE INFERNAL DEVICES WILL NEVER STOP COMING

Tessa Gray should be happy - aren't all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadwohunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. Charlotte Branwell, head of the Institute, is desperate to find Mortmain before he strikes. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her. For though Tessa and Jem are engaged, Will is still in love with her. The last words of a dying Shadowhunter provide the clue that might lead Tessa and her friends to Mortmain. But their small group cannont stand alone, and the powerful Consul doubts that Mortmain is coming. Deserted by allies, the Shadowhuntes find themselves trapped when Mortmain seizes the medicine that keeps Jem alive. With his best friend at death's door, Will must risk everything to save the girl they both love. To buy Will time, the warlock Magnus Bane joins with Henry Branwell to create a device that could help defeat Mortmain. As they all work to save Tessa and the future of the Shadowhunters that resides with her, Tessa realizes that the only person who can save her is herself - for in the discovery of her own true nature, Tessa could become more powerful than she ever dreamed possible. But can a lone girl, even one who can command the power of angels, face down an entire army? Danger and betrayal, secrets and enchantment, and the tangled threads of love and loss intertwine as the Shadowhunters are pushed to the very brink of destruction in the breathtaking conclusion to the Infernal Devices trilogy.
